Most RV accessories are overpriced gimmicks. These 25 are the ones full-timers and serious weekend warriors actually keep and use.

Power and electricity

  • Surge protector (30 or 50 amp): Non-negotiable. Campground power is often dirty. A good surge protector prevents electrical damage. Progressive Industries and Hughes Autoformers are the gold standards. Shop on Amazon.
  • Portable power station: Jackery or EcoFlow for dry camping power. Compare options on Amazon.
  • LED strip lighting: Interior ambiance and reading light. Govee or Philips Hue strips. LED strips on Amazon.

Water and sewer

  • Water pressure regulator: Campground water pressure can spike and burst fittings. A $15 pressure regulator prevents expensive repairs. Shop on Amazon.
  • Drinking water hose: White or blue food-grade hose only. Standard garden hoses leach chemicals. Water safe hose on Amazon.
  • Sewer hose support: Camco Sidewinder is the standard. Creates proper downward slope for complete drainage. Camco on Amazon.
  • Water filter: Camco TastePURE or Berkey for campground water. RV water filters on Amazon.

Connectivity

  • WeBoost Drive X RV: Cell signal booster for remote camping. Dramatically improves LTE where signal is marginal. ~$350. WeBoost on Amazon.
  • WiFi extender: For campground WiFi. TP-Link TL-WA854RE or Alfa Network. WiFi extenders on Amazon.
  • Starlink RV: If you work remotely full-time, Starlink is the game-changer. ~$120/mo with portable hardware.
